Nach anfänglichen Startschwierigkeiten wollten wir wissen: Ist die aktuelle R 1300 GS jetzt wirklich ausgereift? Unser Langzeittest mit einer Juli-2025-Produktion bringt Klarheit. Über 10.000 Kilometer Alltag, Autobahn, Stadtverkehr und große Reise zeigt sich die GS als das, was sie sein will: komfortables Langstreckentool mit beeindruckender Technik.
Highlights: semiaktives DSA-Fahrwerk mit automatischem Beladungsausgleich, ASA-Schaltautomat mit viel Komfort, starker Windschutz, rund 5,0 Liter Verbrauch und hohe Reichweite. Wichtig: Keine der früheren bekannten Problemstellen tauchte erneut auf. Kleine Kritikpunkte bleiben (z. B. Seitenständer, Kofferoberflächen), doch insgesamt wirkt die GS jetzt deutlich reifer und stabiler.

🇬🇧BMW R 1300 GS – 10,000 km long-term test
After early production issues, we wanted answers: is the latest R 1300 GS finally sorted? Our long-term test bike from July 2025 covered over 10,000 km of daily commuting, highways and touring. The result: a very mature, comfortable and technologically impressive travel enduro.
Key points: semi-active DSA suspension with automatic load compensation, the ASA automated shifting system, excellent wind protection, around 5.0 l/100 km fuel consumption and solid real-world range. Most importantly, none of the previously known issues reappeared. Some minor criticisms remain, but overall the GS feels noticeably more refined and reliable.
